  • Maybe it would be good to change all non promised things between releases. So that such unwritten rules never become something users rely upon.

  • If you use AI to generate any communication, you are still fully responsible for it. It's still your communication, just using a tool.

  • Going full circle on the clock looks like achieving full inner-platform effect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inner-platform_effect. In short - we make our application so configurable that the "configuration" language mimics the platform our application is wrote in, albeit poorly.

  • I hate when I rely on others following the rules and they screw me over by breaking them. We had "focus hours" at work. They would have been amazing if not for some special individuals that decide it's OK to waste my 15 minutes to save their 10. Now we don't have focus hours. Or we should document everything on wiki. But why do it when better "documentation" is "ask A". And A is on vacation. That's why I despise rule breakers, they almost always make someone's life worse. And that someone else follows the rules. Rules should be for everybody or nobody.

  • In my country if you are on employee agreement, you are just paid for overtime. My company never made any problems with that payment. And surprise...there were always people who chose to take the additional hours. I was often among them - the additional money/vacation was just too nice to resist.
